Cab cut imfo

Post by biggsy »

Got the go ahead by my engineer or Car compliance bloke to cut my car.
As per the phone call, I said what i'm doing to the car (GQ cut)
His reply was go ahead with the conversion and he will inspect the welds and all the work before it gets cleaned up. If all is good, go ahead cleaning up the conversion and when its all done he will comply and then take it to the DOT QLD...
Now I've been told there is form that need to filed out before hand and need approval.
Is this correct ? Because at this stage it half cut..
And if so my car compliance bloke has some explaining to do.

In QLD yes. But it varies from complier to complier as to what they expect done. Some will want to inspect progress others are happy to just sign off on the finished job. So check with who you are getting it done by first.
