ARB vs IRONMAN Commercial Bar
Ordered an ARB Commercial winch bar the other day to be greeted today with a phone call that it will be an 8wk wait!!!
ARB can possibly source me a Deluxe bar early september but i dont want to pay the extra for it and i need a bar before the 23rd when i go away for a week out west.
I can have an Ironman Commercial bar delivered inside a week from a local supplier.
Is it worth grabbing the Ironman bar, im told they are much the same as ARB and no one has complained about the quality yet?
Opinions.....

Re: ARB vs IRONMAN Commercial Bar
Personally I think the Ironman is the better looking bar. And having owned an ARB commercial I would not get another one of theirs.

The quality of the Ironman bars are pretty good (I sell these).Wozza244 wrote:Ordered an ARB Commercial winch bar the other day to be greeted today with a phone call that it will be an 8wk wait!!!

The ARB bars are slightly heavier, so are probably slightly thicker steel.
The Ironman units came up fairly well in the bullbar comparison, although it was n't a great test and the conclusions weren't all that clear.

Re: ARB vs IRONMAN Commercial Bar
Yeh, the closest i am to an ARB or Ironman bar is about 6-8wks, im furious.
If i hit a roo and ruin my front apron or guard i will be even more furious.
What sort of company doesnt have standby stock

Depends on sales trends, vehicle status, raw material supplies etc etc.
Buy a TJM then...

I've been looking into if for the 76, the Toyota ones are pretty thin / marginal
The Ironman look the same as Toyota in shape - not sure on strength though
Arb look good but the extra lower bar seem to add clutter for little value.
A mate had an arb in his gu and mounting a winch to it was one of the worst things I have ever had to do to a car in my life! Period! It was that bad we still talk about it. I am assuming the winch should be fitted before the bar, or I am missing something.....
I might just build a tube bar to my taste for $300 in materials, even though it will be a pretty stock car.

A lot of ADR compliant bars are like that with the recessed winch.
Fit 1st on assy.
Easy to remove if your mech savvy.
Slide bar forward onto a table remove winch, etc. Slide back.
