hey guys. i have own a 1991 model sierra. but im up grading to a real car
now i would love a 4.2 turbo diesel. but the ods are slim.
so im leaning towards either a 3.0 liter turbo diesel. or a 4.5 petrol.
i would prefer the 3.0 because of fuel consumption 4.5
but i have heard the 3.0 blow engines? i have roughly 17 k to throw around

what gu to choose?
Re: what gu to choose?
I just bought a 4.5 over a 3 litre. Its not too bad. I got a 98 TI for 16500. its a lot more car than what u will get for the price of a diesel. Factory rear locker and all. Its not that bad on fuel and a lot less maintenance. Its also on gas which makes it a bit cheaper to drive around town. Still spewin I couldnt afford the 4.2 but!!

Re: what gu to choose?
yeah the fuel range is the only real drama. It has a 90L Gas tank and the old geezer that did the gas conversion before I bought it left the standard 35L sub tank (unleaded) . I've just ordered my long range sub tank from 4x4 systems (78L) which should help out. I'm hoping to get at least 330kms out of sub (unleaded) and somewhere around 350 on gas.
