Just purchased a 98 hilux dual cab with a 3rz petrol motor.
It's using about 16 to 17ltrs per 100klms (city driving)is this the norm?
It also idles roughly at various rpm from 500 to about 1000 when the motor is warmed up and the choke is off. It has extractors fitted, new exhaust, which smells like it is running rich sometimes.
Air cleaner is in good condition and a snorkle has been put on it .
Any ideas about where to start ?
