Brake pad brands???

Post by TheOtherLeft »

Which brake pad brands do people recommend?

I've used Bendix 4WD pads in the past and I can't complain... but what about Ferodo or Maxistop etc?

When I upgraded the brakes on the GU, I went for Bendix, and to be honest, compared to the OEM pads I found them to be pretty crap. Had to heat up a bit to have them work ok, and then at very slow speed they tended to grab. I ended up going back to OEM pads.

My little write up is here. http://www.monster4x4.com.au/blog/2010/ ... e-upgrade/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Can't remember the brand, but the cheapest ones at Repco are crap. I needed a set for an experiment so didn't want to waste more money than needed.
But the experiment worked fine, so now I have pads that squeak, squeal and produce a ridiculous amount of brake dust.
