Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
What about on road wear wise
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
I ran a set of 35" centrepedes on road for a little while and they were bloody horrible, shook the hell out of my truck and wore badly (uneven) that said they were great in mud etc, but if you are looking to run these tyres as daily tyres in rocky expect to be defected.............
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
yeah not everyday just if im going out for a play or something hey cause i got a set of 33 big horns on as every day at the moment but yeah no what ya mean there dogs
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
In my opinion small amounts of road time on simex is ok as far as wear goes but even a week of constant road use and you can see how the tread blocks are starting to feather edges etc.
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
yeh they arent to bad on the road they take alot of weight to balance i did a 300klm trip and they were fine bit hectic in the wet though.

Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
2000 pretty cheap though hey
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
$2000 for 5 beadlocked rims with 36's fitted is ok for this part of the world.
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
yeh sometimes you can get some bargains i got 6x36" pedes 2 brand new the rest over 90% for $1200

Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
yeah tnese are no less than 90% for the 4 and the spare has't seen road whats a set external bead locks usually worth and there red so should go pretty fast
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
The last new set of beadlocked steelies I saw for sale here in rocky had an $1800 price tag. Thats going back about 18 months.
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
i think you are a fool if you pass this up. ive got 36/12.5r15 and they are unstopable on 7 psi and locked. mine are about 70% i think i have got prietty good milage out of them concidering what they are tires $550ea and the rims and beeds $900 me welding them myself. oh and they dont like stoping in the wet
Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
They are an awsome tyre in Mud, not so ggod on Rock though.
Mine would drive up near on anything muddy, just don't expect them to work elswhere though
$2000 is an awsome price for 5, let alone on Beadlocks

Re: Thoughts on 36'' simex et2
Sorry for the hijack, what are you guys running yours at on road? I run my 36's everyday on road, yeah I shouldn't, (plus in Qld 31's are illegal on a maverick, so what the hey), but anyway I'm running about 28 PSI ATM. Yes they have a slight wobble at 60kph and a bit worse on a cold morning but I only do about 5000k's a year. They are a ripper tyre off road in anything I've chucked at them. Mud, rock, dirt and for a rag tyre they handle a bit of cornering alright too.
That's a ripper bargain mate, don't pass em up, if you do, give me the number!!!!!

Don't take life too seriously...it isn't permanent.
