damaged floorpan repair
Had a boulder decide to flip up behind the drivers side front wheel, travel all the way round the inner guard and spit out the front in pieces.
It was big! and it pushed the floorpan beneath the pedals back about 2-3 inches.
Now my brakes, clutch and accelerator can only travel about 1-2 cm before hitting. (makes driving it quite scary!)
The only idea I have to fix it (cheaply) is to drill a couple of holes in it and bolt a plate to the inside. Attach winch to the bolts and pull..
Any better Ideas?
no a big hammer doesn't work..

Can you pull the pedals out to give you better access?
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!
Re: damaged floorpan repair
Yes probably.. might be an idea
Re: damaged floorpan repair
a piece of stud pine or similar and a big hammer would fix it good enough.
Re: damaged floorpan repair
cant get a decent enough swing up.. spose i could take out the drivers seat...
Re: damaged floorpan repair
used a jack hammer for this once with a rounded head on it worked quite well not a pretty job though
Keep it shiny side up!

Re: damaged floorpan repair
i have an electric masonry drill that can be turned into a jack hammer (rotation turns off) I might give that a go..

Re: damaged floorpan repair
thats why supazuk said use some pine about 400 mm long,
slide it in to behind your pedals, then you hit it out where you have room to swing. it should work a treat, i have mover alot stronger things with that technique
