105 Landcruiser Questions

Post by Chr85is »

Hi, I've just waved goodbye to my faithful 60 series and moved on to a 99 fzj105 on gas. Can anyone let me know is the D (for drive) indicator on the dash supposed to light up? All the others do except D on mine. I also have a whistling noise from the motor, it does it constantly, idling and under load. Thanks.

From what I hear the whistle is a normal thing with the standard exhaust.

Out of the factory the D lights up, however after a while the bulb blows.

x2 with oldmate I don't remember the last time we had a 105 or 80 that it worked on!

The whistle could be the idler pulley, very common!
