Hi,
I removed the ERPS unit from another car some time ago and I need to wire it to the new one.
Looking at the ERPS web site they have a picture of what must be a newer model with 2 blue wires at the control unit forming a loop with the couplers. Each coupler which I just bought has 2 blue wires.
My control unit is the old type with only one blue line so there can be no loop.
So what do I do with the last coupler in the chain? Can I connect both wires on the coupler it or leave one free?
I realise I can call EPRS for the answer but maybe someone here knows, before Monday.

when i bought a retail kit it came with a pad with one wire only, but when i installed it i didn't do a 'ring' i just sent one wire front and one wire back. the extra wire i put heatshrink over and filled the end with silicone so it didn't short out on anything.

I installed one of the old ERPS systems once and i remember it having only one wire at the stick on pads. Is this how your old one was or am i remembering wrong??

To wire up the new one you should be able to run the cable and join it all to the sticky pads and then run a loop back to the control unit and leave it disconnected from anything (just tape up the end for now), then ring them monday to confirm. Being that the system is capactive i would guess that there is no need for the system to be a loop however they have probably found that it works better being supplied from both ends, hence the two wires from the control unit now. It also makes sence that the two wires on the new system are both the same so theoretically you could just join your loop back on itself??

I installed an older single wire model not long ago. all the pads had 2 wires to go from one pad to the next. but the end pad in the kit just has a single wire to it, as it doesn't need to loop back.
you could purchase a single wire pad or as others have said just insulate the end wire and leave it at that.
