Yj springs

So, are YJ front and rear leaf springs all the same length? I have read that only the amount of leafs will change...

Also, are YJs called that in Aus, or do they have a name like Wrangler or something?

IMHO YJ's are YJ's as I don't believe they were ever actually released here.

I think you might be able to get YJ springs new from ARB. But If you are thinking of doing what I think you might be...I think there might be easier options out there. Look at Hilux, I was even looking at some XJ rears the other day. But I think they might be a little wide at 2.5" or 63.5mm. They are long as well....

Yeah I was thinking of Hilux fronts, but apparently they are too stiff...

XJ rears are the same width as the YJ's-2.5"

I just want a nice flexy rear for the LWB Sierra ute I am building up, preferably using springs that are cheap, easy to replace and 50mm wide (although going to 65mm isn't too much drama).

A mate has offered me some Carona ones, which might do the job - narrow, long and flexy.

yj springs are not quite the same length front to rear by memory rears are slightly longer
and have maybe one extra leaf... i have them in front of a zook and they work
really well. check out some states sites for heaps of info common as over there
also got the spring staight from arb

There is a small handfull of YJ's in aus as private imports. But you can buy YJ springs through ARB (OME) and through Wooders ( Rubicon Express)

I have Rubicon Express 4.5" lift YJ springs on my CJ and love them great ride and flex

2.5" wide all YJ springs are 2.5" wide front and rear. CJ springs are 2" front 2.5" rear
