hey i have an 89 mod vitara, im doing a manual conversion, although when i tryed to fit the fly wheel it didnt fit due to a reccess in the flywheel. has anyone ever had the same problem or know if what models have the same type of flywheel i need. cheers

There is a difference between the EFI and Carby flywheels.

nope. 1.6 carby and efi use the same clutch, and are the same flywheel.

there will be a small spacer from the old flex plate, make sure you remove it before fitting the flywheel.

When I had mine out there is a small lip around where the crank bolts go through that the carby one didn't.
The 1.3 carbys were exactly the same. they have a early and late fly wheel.

thanks guys for info, the flywheel i have has the lip on it where it bolts onto the crankshaft and i must need the other one that sits flusher does anyone know what year model motor that flywheel is off cheers
