best side draft position
Im setting up a small simple buggy with a side draft. What would the best position for extreme angles? flood up hills and starve down? visa versa? or flood on side angles?
Its a wheelbase thing

It never came with efi, its a 3 cyclinder suzuki motor. I could graft it on but I want it simple and light.

Triple motorcycle carbs, go to your friendly motor cycle wreckers. And see if they have a set of triumph triple carbs,or if its a two stroke, suzuki 550 water bottle carbs but they maybe a bit harder to get.If you don't want to go the triple rout get a h/d sportster carb and side mount it.play around with the jets and you will be sweet

Most sidedrafts won't flood until your pretty much upside down. Triple motorbike carbs would work a treat! I think there is a gsx 500 or something that had triple sidedrafts it'll unleash abit more power/torque and not be to expensive to set up.

Re: best side draft position
Wheres the fuel bowl located on this carb? Directly underneath the throat? If so it should work quiet evenly on any angle. If its an offset bowl id set it up so the fuel level is affected on side slopes rather than up/down hills. Im pretty sure your sideslope angles you drive would be most of the time less than up/down hill angles.

Or get MPFI off a Daihatsu Mira.
Re: best side draft position
I think Lj80 carbs have the fuel bowl under the carbs so it won't flood until they are pretty much up side down. Some of the su's and pretty much all bike carbs have the bowl under the throats so they won't flood till upside down. A bike carb would be the easiest to fab a mount for and would probably give the best results for minimal price aslong as its a decent carby to start with.
