4x4 TV

Post by mudtoy »

Hi to all, just a note to let every one know...the first episode of 4x4 TV will go to air April 6 at 6:30pm on Ch31 (free to air in Vic). We have busted our arses to get it up and running so don't bag us for having a go...we have done our best with limited resources, time and money. Please check out our website at www.4x4tv.com.au and reply with any feedback or offers of support. We will happily review any footage you have if it is reasonable and relates to 4wheeling. Most of the industry has been very supportive and the show will only improve as we go but please support us and also support the sponsors who have helped to get it off the ground...it is your forum.
Thanks.

We have had good bites from Ch31 in WA, NSW and QLD, so we hope to get it national asap. At this stage we are only covering vic tracks and events but as it is Australias first dedicated 4wd show there is a huge demand and we have been receiving emails from all over. We would love some input from other states but it is just hard to organise...we are having enough trouble getting decent footage from down here.

The problem is that to fund the show we have to work our normal jobs...so travelling to film is a bit hard at the moment. Do you have any footage you can send us? Nasty action is always the goods but we are also interested in some trip and track reports...to show the mexicans how the banana benders do it, etc.

We have hours of footage on file, all sorts of of stuff, rock, comp, freestyle, illegal etc, you won't find any better from a QLD studio. We are always out filming various rigs and in interesting locations, to keep it fresh and entertaining.

Good to hear from you frank...we will use as much footage of you as possible. How much do we owe you for busting your car and putting on a show?????????????
Seriously though...glad to help, we had a ball. How is the vehicle now? Beefed up the steering?

Yeah my mate is working on a hi-steer set up at the moment (mounting the tie rod on top of the knuckle rather than underneath it), I broke another tie rod (same spot) on the very next trip out. Discovered I had a bent drag link which was not helping, have replaced that now.
But have decided to do a front solid axle swap anyway which will stop that happening once and for all (should start in 2 months or so).

Yours and Harry's help more than paid for the footage dude

Unfortunately it doesn't reach that far but if you hassle Russel Cairns he may purchase the series on VHS or dvd to show you all or you can get copies yourself.
It doesn't go much past Geelong at this stage.
Sorry.
