Lowmead comp good to go NOV 27TH & 28TH IN CQ

Post by troyten »

Gladstone 4wd club will be running its first 3 car comp in nov to give the opportunity for new guy to try the comp scene out for size.

Tracks will be great for both drivers and spectators as the stages are close to each other , shaded and very spectator friendly.

Camping is great with facilities on site and the night stage will be close to camp and great to watch.

We think all the boxes will be ticked for an awsome event.

Watch this space for more info

cheers Troy

Already know of 3 possibly 4 teams ready to rumble in the jungle for this event!!! couple from glady who will be out for rocky blood, and one from brissy way......... they wont be much of a threat though (hey phil :finger: )

so for those who havent been down to lowmead,

what will the tracks be like?? rocky? Hilly? gullies where good articulation will help? any water holes we will be plunging into?? :D

and i hear there is a long windy SANDY creek similar to The Cliffhanger ones but skinnier? could high speed runs up this be on the cards?

and surely we will have a multiple point gps run to do aswell with so much land on offer

So who is thinking of entering? surely the bundy bashers will be half keen with it being so close to home? will mackay travel down with a team or two?

Ben...... Dude my 1hz loves water IN and AROUND it!! also likes Running on oil aswell!!

so around 4 1/2 hours for brissy people if they are keen to come up and have some fun in CQ!!!

And ive got a Dollar on a gladstone Team taking out the first Lowmead teams event :D sure it wont be my team...... but surely someone from gladstone can put in an effort and win haha,

P.s Definately wont be a podium finish for a certain purple 80 series ute.... :finger:

P.s.s Mr Ben Boulter: Phil has already stated that if you dont race you will be supplied with a mobile beer fridge :drinking: .... as long as you cheer for Team blue Dog!! you may have to get that in writing though

Dont worry boys, the purple 80 is not scared. My NQ navi is a bit scared. I sent the Patrol boys back to camp the other night with there heads down. Forgot to tell you Mosko, the paint wont be dry on your hybrid 75 in time for this event so you will have to organise another car. :finger: Could be a good weekend to test the new fridge out.

Hey mate to keep it a fair playing field all teams are required to have 3 cars, but if you are unable to make a team of 3 dont stress, Let troy know that you are chasing a 3rd car and he will be able to put the word out! who knows you may end up teamed up with a full blown comp rig!! and still show it up haha, do you have two cars so far?
