ITS JUST A CUSTOM WINCH CRADLE.
# TAKE YOUR BULL BAR OFF.
# MAKE A STEEL WINCH CRADLE THAT WILL BOLT TO YOUR CHASSIS & FIT INSIDE YOUR BULLBAR.
# BOLT THE WINCH & FAIR LEAD TO THE CRADLE.
CUT THE BULLBAR OUT TO FIT THE FAIRLAED ROLLERS (some bars you can bolt the fairlead over the top of the alloy bar & threw the cradle. Factory GU bars need to have the "hole slots" cut out.
# RE FIT THE BULLBAR BACK OVER THE CRADLE & RE-BOLT TO THE CHASSIS

# BASICLY ITS A STEEL WINCH CRADLE THAT IS BOLTED DIRECTLY TO THE CHASSIS(using the bullbar mounting points in the chassis) TO HOLD THE WEIGHT & STREGNTH OF THE WINCH.
THE ALLOY BULLBAR SITS BACK OVER THE TOP BASICLY JUST FOR COSMETICS, CAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO HIT ANYTHING WITH AN ALLOY BULLBAR (but there better then nothing) :D

My disco had a TJM alloy bar when I bought it. To fit a low mount winch that I had, I bought the TJM winch cradle that is made for the bar.

Much as Piglet described above, the cradle fits behind the bar between the chassis mounts for the bar. The winch mounting bolts go through both the bar and cradle.

These are a couple of pics that could help.

I had one made up years ago for a MQ with an alloy bar, I only used it a few times, but no problems. Sorry no pics. It was just 3 pieces of steel welded together in a [ shape then bolted between the chassis, then cut and drilled for the winch to fit.

It'll be fine as long as you use enough rivets....

It has to bolt to the chassis rails, use the same mounts your bullbar use.If you bolt it to the bullbar you will tear your winch off the bar.
