Are you talking about the joint or the seals? Kinda confusing, Your question says axle seals but the title says CV (meaning CV joint).
I'd say both wont fit as the axle and CV are both bigger in a GU.

Sorry... Is it possible to put GU CV's and axles in a GQ diff/axle housing?

Is the GU CV bigger dia or is it longer than the GQ CV's or both?? Im pretty sure the GU axles are each 20mm longer than the GQ axles, is there a way these can be shortened? Are the internals of a front GU housing the same as a GQ housing except the GQ housing is 40mm narrower overall? If I shortend the GU axle's by 20mm each and put GU axle seals in to the GQ housing to fit the bigger dia GU axle etc... will this work? Has it been done?

Cheers

Wont fit, The "bell end" on either end of the diff housing is larger on a GU than on a GQ to accomodate the larger diameter GU CV Joints. If it was as easy as swapping GU cv's and axles into GQ housing ppl wouldnt bother fitting GU diffs to there GQ's like myself haha

Go for Cal Offroad CV's, they're meant to be stronger than GU.
