Daz, thats the gear! man dont sell it, keep it.
very neat, where did the wide guards go?
Did it always have those yellow braces under the chassis? im guessing to stop it getting hung up on the link mounts?
Its getting advertised one last time then i have decided i will keep it. After i have paid it off, The 40 will become the play hard car again and Bob will be set up for towing, touring and camping etc.

The guards are removable and it has plastic ones i fit when playing hard to keep it all pritty ;)

The yellow braces have always been there and are part of the removable bash plate and yes sliders to the drop boxers.

When i get time ill post up some pics with guards and with out roof.

cheers Daz

engineered and registered as a 3 seater. (3 in the front) centre arm rest/seat is a cut down 3rd row pajero seat.

Obviously, I hav'nt seen your 40 up close Daz, so I can't comment on quality etc. but just looking at your list of mods and the photo's you have on Ebay it appears to be worth every cent of that $13500. Not to mention that all of your mods have actually been engineered. If I was looking for a 40, I'd buy it.

I can't believe this has'nt been snapped up yet.

Is the 1UZ an easy conversion? My "B" motor is feeling pretty sick these days and I noticed that these donks are selling for <$1500 these days.
indubitably

De lux. the motors are cheap but the conversion is not easy. much easier and faster to do a Gen 1 or similar. but i think it is worth while to keep a Toyota all Toyota

I guess if i keep the paint i keep the car  but the wife wants one gone :bad-words:

Its an easy car to change the colour on because when i built it i painted the engine bay and under the car black so i did not have to pull the whole things to bits if i wanted to change the colour. If i keep the car it is on the cards that it will get another make over including a colour change

A little, and I moved the front diff forward a long way, and modified the sump. I am also trying to squeeze some turbos on it. But its a bit of a drawn out process.

ok...sorry to dig this up......but this thread is just too awesome not to keep going....

i've looked through this thread 3 times today and have come to the conclusion of tryin to find out why the photos that TWISTY posted up are the only ones that won't come up when i load the pages.....

i'm currently in the planning stages of building a scale 'Cruiser Duo' consisting of a 40 and a 45 so my girlfriend and i can start comping them in the Northern Crawler comps here in NSW......

My pictrures are gone because I hosted them on 4wdlinks....which the server went down last year. 4wdlinks is supposed to be coming back online, but not sure when.

Steelart has a good site with heaps of 40 porn on it!
