rear bar movement?

hi there was wondering i am building a rear bar for my 80 series cruiser with duel wheel carriers on it!! now i have fited it up and when u hit the tyer on the back it makes the bar move bout oneor 2 mm like when u realy hit it hard and keep wabbleing it imatating corragations. my question is how much does your bar move? and who makes it? cheers anthony

I made mine myself, and it sounds as if it wobbles as much as yours. It worried me until I was following an ARB show car and watched the spare wobbling away just as much.

In my bars case the wobble is from the twisting of a 300mm span of 150x50x3mm rhs - I don't think it's about to snap off any time soon.

Hang on, are you talking about the tyre carrier wobbling when you reef on the spare tyre or the actual rear bar wobbling?
The rear bar shouldn't move at all. Tyre carrier wobbling is ok if it's only a couple of mm.
