My 2 Cents

But the petrols use a lot of fuel like 20L / 100klms probably worse on gas. Resonable HP for an old lump of a motor, you would have to buy a turbo diesel to match the performance so if you don't mind fuel cost you get cheap HP.

All 60's have rust or have been repaired before if you can find one without rust bring it to me and i'll point it out the repair for you! hahaha But check the roof gutters, rear wheel arches and qtrs and the join in the front a pillar. Be prepared to see some rust come out during your ownership. If you want a tidy car to keep in great condition buy an 80 or 100 if you want a reasonable daily that is good offroad and cheap parts etc you can't go past a 60! They are pretty cheap to fix and you can do a lot of stuff yourself.

Some other points

Like all cruiser shit handbrake.
Get some steel wheels and replace your wheel studs as alloys tend to break studs.
You'll need some spotlights as standard lighting in shithouse.
You can fit a 35" in the spare wheel space or two steelies

I'll add some stuff as I remember

Off road they go well for an 25 year old 4x4

Feel free to ask any questions.
