Landcruiser 80 LSD

Post by cruiser80dave »

Hi all, Just fitted a Detroit lockker in the rear of my 80 series. Have the old lsd 250K and wanted to gt the lsd reconditioned and fit it in the front? Is this a good idea and would it suit?
Thanks

80 rear LSD will NOT fit in the front of an 80. Even if it did dont waste ur money getting a yota LSD rebuilt.. may as well just get a fist full of $50's and throw them in the bin, or post them to me :finger:

What he said, different sizes for a start and it was never that effective as an LSD anyway.

LSD's are shite in the front anyway, don't lock when you need them to and do when you don't want them to. Just get another locker.

How much did the detroit locker cost (the locker, not fitting)? Been thinking about them for myself.

Cruiser80dave Can you hear much noise coming from the detroit on the road? I too am thinking of investing in one. Cheers Leigh.

Locker only option for the front, air locker if it's full time 4wd.
