Ok, so just bought a 2003 GUIII DX wagon - the one with no flares.
It has a pretty tired looking alloy bull bar that I want to replace with a steel winch bar. There is a Nissan bar to fit the non-flared partol (so it doesn't stick out at either side) which nissan ask $1500 for. I think I might struggle to find one second hand - probably not so many of them around?
The other option is to get flares fitted ($1000 Nissan or ARB!) and get a second hand bull bar (much more around). Will I find a good second hand winch bar for $500?
Which way do I go?! Reckon I'd prefer the flared option, but hard in mind to justify 1000 bucks for plastic flares!
I reckon a normal bar (that will stick out) with bushranger or Bunnings flares won't look the best.
Anything else I haven't thought about?
thanks for your help.

Re: STD Wheel Patrol GU
P.S. Will swap my Pajero photo for one of my Patrol when I take one...
Re: STD Wheel Patrol GU
Realistically it would not stick out that far either side.
Just fit a second hand bar and you will have that much more clearance either side.
It should look ok.
