Just wondering...
Do anyone elses brakes feel a bit soft after the weekend? My handbrake is slipping slightly unless you really crank it on hard, and the pedal is not as good as it once was.
I usually have to nip up the handbrake adjuster after a trip, but was wondering if there is anything else i should look at?
Other than that, no unsightly damage or noises.. yet.
Andrew.

Used to have to do that after every trip. Part of the maintenance of the rig. If you dont know what your doing, jasck the back end up, put jack supports in, take of both wheels and drums, and then take the brakes apart on side at a time, using teh other side for referance. You'll find teh adjustment mechanism will be seized and will need cleaning out and use some (small amount) of CRC or Rp7 or something. Put the things back together, then adjust till teh hand brake comes on after 3-4 clicks.
Every time.

I did it all today, there was certainly a lot of shit in there. The "self adjusters" wern't even close to working with all that crp on them.
The handbrake, although a little tighter didnt feel as good as I had hoped so I might be back in there tonight if it doesnt improve on the way home.
Do anyones self adjusters actually work?
