Hi All,
I have recently acquired an RA 3.0L TD duel cab. Couple of things l am after some info on as l have never owned a Rodeo before:
1. Tyres - What is best size. (Standard suspension). Can l go to 15"??
2. Exhuast - 2.5" ok? Want to get that turbo spooling a whole lot quicker.
3. Power - any advice re: upping the pwoer?
4. Suspension Lift - how high without more mods. How do rear shackles go? Then putting in a taller front spring? How travel in factory shocks?

What works best with Rodeo? Not after massive lift. Just some clearnace for on the farm/bush run.
Thanks for your help.
Mike

Re: RA Rodeo Questions....
hi Mike,
you will be able to fit 15" rims on your ute, you will need to look at offsets if you are going to get a bigger than 30" tyre.
for the exhaust a 2.5 is fine if it is mandrel bent, if you are going pressbent get 2.75 or 3" and do the dump pipe aswell, as doing just from there will help but not as much.
the front suspension can be lifted by 2" easily by winding up the torsion bars, any more than this and you will run into problems with camber and breaking cv's. for the rear add some lifted springs and then you should be able to fit 32" tyres

04 3.0l diesel
I changed the exhaust on mine to a 2.5 and noticed no benifit. My brother now has the same year model and did the same but also removed the cat and made a custom dump pipe. Still no substancal power gain. My advice would be to spend some doe on a diesel chip and get 20% more go straight up. Which is what i did in the end. Steer clear of dp chip. Tunit is ok.
I fitted 255/75 16 tyres to my standard rims. 2 in lift in the back and screwed the fr up to match.

Those who choose to drive in the mud do so because they can't drive the rocks.
