80 superflex radius arm issues

Anyone else having the same dramas with these arms?

Ive had some superflex radius arms in my 80 series for the past year. Have been great until now. I havnt really done much offroading in the past year. But the bushs are warn in now, and when I brake it pulls hard to 1 side. The brakes have been overhauled and fine. Its only when I brake hard but its really annoying me now. Im thinking of going to 5 link

Mate mine does that now an i dont have superflex arms, does it pull to driver side(closest to master cylinder)

I'd double check the brakes. They can be hard to bleed properly. Doesn't sound like a suspension problem to me. If the bushes were that bad, the steering would be wobbly and the truck would be all over the place.

Check your tire pressures too.

When you say the brakes have been overhauled what did you/they do?

The pistons are known for sticking in the bores of the calliper thus not clamping much or at all.

The side that it pulls to is most probably ok, check the other side.

Brakes have new everything, pistons seals pads, brake lines. It pulls hard to the drivers side against the camber in the road. Ive noticed it doing it and getting worse and worse. When I got it back from the brake shop you could brake without any hands on the wheel and it would brake evenly. Just the same as the past year. But now its up to sh#t and annoying the hell out of me.

Sounds the same as when my passenger side calliper shit itself and didnt work, would pull hard drivers side because it was the brake doing all the work.
Mines a hilux, prinicable is the same tho.
Brakes would be my first port of call.

have you been thru any water ????
or to the beach

pull your brake pads out and make sure all the pistons move in when the pedal is depressed

Ok. Ill have another look at the brakes or get the brake guys too. My appollogies to superior if it turns out not to be the arms.

Ive also got the superflex arms, and I would say my 80 "dips" a little to the left more than usual (than it would with std arms) but definatly doesnt pull.

Check ur brakes for sure. I'd say they need re bleeding.

I've been flogging my arms for 12 months now, and no probs! still drives the same as it did when i put them in :armsup: :armsup:
