Gq starter motor rusted out again!!!
After 6 months my full reco starter motor has rusted out. Rear half was still fine but front half all rusted n needed new bearings, was still spinning just not engaging. All joins were siliconed up also. Any ideas where the water is comin from so easily.....
Gq space cab, 4.2 diesel, lift, 35s, front n rear arb lockers, reduction gears

its normal, ive done about 5 in 5 years. If ya play in mud and or water it comes in past the bell housing or clutch fork. hte starter also has a breather hole on its case which can let in water
