GQ Control arms

My bushes in my upper and lower control arms are worn badly and i don't have the cash to put in new heavy duty arms.
Dose anyone know if it's expensive to just replace the bushes or is it easier to get a second hand set of arms and put them in.
If so anyone got some layiong around??

They're $40-$60 each from memory. Part numbers should be on here somewhere.

If you are going to spend $150 plus on bushes you would be mad to not just purchase new HD arms , what is it worth in repairs time and effort when you snap your standard control arm on a step up or rock .
It will snap your pinion, bend your coils, tear your shocks in half and if its a wagon stuff all the panel work and probably put the pinion throught the floorpan.

I am sure their are many guys who own Nissan's who cost cut and regretted it, we have seen guys come into our workshop purchase 3k worth of suspension without lowers only to stuff their rear end when they snap their lowers.

One guy bought a whole kit less the lowers as he did not believe me the importance of them and he fitted the kit on friday night , he came in monday holding his tough dogs that were bent in halve and wondered why no warranty would be honoured , all due to hitting a step up at glass house mountains and the whole rear suspension ripped out and stuffed .

HD arms are cheap insurance .

I know exactly what your saying but im not in a position to spend more than i have to at the moment.
The kids wont be happy if i spend there christmas money on car parts and the wife wont be happy if we cant go on holidays so im stuck going the cheaper option.

i lengthened and stenghtened my standard arms. Been working well for a few years now with no drama's.

If you have a look there should be plenty of how-to's on strengthening arms, just do that for the short term and go for the H/D arms when you can afford it.
