FJ45 question

Guys i have just purchased a 45 and i have been told that

60's 80's diffS will fit in my car

is this correct?

also i have been told that a rear diff and front diff are the same and can be swapped around etc?

any info on this would be great

yes 60 series front and rear, and 80 series rear diffs will fit.

yes your front can be swapped into the rear and vice versa.

Just to clarify; we're talking centres here, not complete housings. 60s and 80s complete diffs/housings/suspension will not bolt directly in under a 40 without some fabrimication.

K so only the diff centers will fit in my diff housing. i cant put the complete housing from a 60 or 80 into my car?
