Landrover Defender drive plates

Post by Breaker Brother »

Ok, so my defender, the drive plates and CV Splines are stuffed, more backlash than a fart in an elevator full of models :bad-words:

How much would I be looking at to have the CV's replaced and HD drive flanges installed ?
I've had quotes of up to $200 each just for the flanges

Flanges were ~$250/pr from HiTough when I bought them. Ashcroft in the UK may be cheaper.

CVs - depends if you get OEM, cheaper copies, or super dooper ones from Ashcroft or Rovertracks.

If you are running greased wheel bearings, then convert to oil lube for better wheel bearing and spline life. Should be plenty of info on the conversion here.
