FRAM filters-good, bad or ugly?

Post by TheOtherLeft »

Does anyone use FRAM filters?

http://www.fram.com/?select_region=1

I need to replace a couple filters (cabin, air) in the car and came across FRAM. They appear to be popular over in the US.

they get a REALLY bad rap on the automotive section of something awful- people have had the guts of them disintegrate and go through the motor clogging up oil passages and causing starvation to bearings and such.

Most people on there would prefer to run an empty filter can than a FRAM....

Every review I have ever read of Fram filters has been highly negative.

They are rubbish. You wont find any at the drags. System 1. Peterson. Use a remote filter if you want a good 1.
