Depends what the 4.3's came out of. If there out of a gq coil sprung should be a straight swap. But the leaf sprung utes are different, bigger centre, bigger housing on the rear. Im not sure if any GU wagons came with the big diff. There is plenty of info on here. just hard to find.

I had to swap the flanges over on mine. Very easy to do

should be straight swap, any gq or gu coil rears are same size, its the leaf rear gu utes that had the monster rear diff

Yeh your right we have had a couple come through work with the big pumkins all of them had the 3.9 ratio aswell. Not sure if others had different ratios.

From memory when I did mine, the front axle shafts had to be shortened approx 5mm. The design of the GU against the GQ is a little different.
