Hi people i was just wondering if any one knew any thing about the bolt pattern on the back of a 1vd-ftv turbo diesel V8. im wishing to get a adapter plate made to go onto a 1hz gearbox in a 105 series

Why not use the box from the car the motor came out of? Its a H15# and already has the correct bellhousing

1vd is no more powerfull than 100 series 1hdfte
as you will be using the ute version not the twin turbo version

What would be the issues, too many sensors and other integrated electronics to deal with?
Could you put in the 200 series twin turbo V8 along with the matching auto?
No way to make it work with a manual?

auto and engine body ecu's
you would have a better chance with running the auto
ute ones are easy tottally different kettle of fish even easier wiring wise than 100 series
physically
trouble is the front shaft comes out the wrongs side as in the pass side and runs thru the sump
rear shaft comes out the center like a hilux
for me it just became unviable concidering the ease of the 1hdfte conversions basically 1hdfte = ute v8
then if you want more just get a duramax v8 its the same dollars as a toyo tt v8 but with a lot more go and heaps of aftermarket suport with tuning etc
jury is still out on the longevity of piezo injectors as well at 1000 bucks each one thats 8000 bucks for a set of injectors

considering strapping a snail onto the side of a 1HZ can detonate the R151F box without much effort, i recon it would be hilarious to see how long box lasted behind a 1VD-FTV!
The 1VD-FTV H150F box is different to the 1HD-FTE H150F too, longer input shaft and different internals.
