titan solenoids

Post by tigerz11 »

Ramsey REP8000 whinch. It has only 2 wires connected to the winch motor unlike allot of whinches that have 3. Can these solenoids still be used on these motors??

no, there are not enough contacts to change the polarity.

What about the solenoid that you have in the picture with you 3500lb winch, the motor on that winch appears to have only 2 wires to connect to it.

Ok, Paul has sent me out one of his solenoids, and i have ripped it apart and inspected its layout, and after chucking it on the bench and testing it to do the above(2 wire winch) and the standard 3 wire set up both work well

So this soleniod will do both types of winches with no issues, the above picture is correct to use
