Gday all, I have a 1983 Ln46 2.2L diesel, looking at doing a 3l turbo conversion and a 5 speed (g52) Just wondering if i can get the drive shafts from the car i am getting the gear box off and will these bolt straight up instead of shortening the shaft i have now. Also how far approx do i have to move the cross member back to mount the new box.
And has anyone herd for converting a 4 speed into a 5 speed.
Thanks

Re: Ln46 5 Speed Gear
I think the frt 5 spd shaft will bolt up lenght wise but you will have to change the diff flange for example because different flange pattern , rear shaft you shorten cheap and easy use the same flange pattern .box and transfer move back about 6" but can't remember exactly. A bit of dickin around with shifter holes ,speedo cable adjust ,crossmember mods all pretty easy have fun ..
