hj60 immobiliser issue

Post by granborismo »

Gday guys. i'm trying to install a touch button immobiliser in my 60.

its a late 89 2h with turbo, issue i am having is i just cannot wire it for it to function correctly :?

the immobiliser is just a small hidden away push button controlled unit to press before turning key. is pretty much just a relay to hold a circuit open.

the fuel cut solenoid has 4 wires, white - has a really low voltage like less than 1volt . this is where i have it wired
red - has constant 12v,
yellow - unknown
green - unknown
all controlled somehow from the control unit relay

eg: i can get it to work for startup but then when i turn key off i have to press it again to turn it off.

what i think is happening is that the voltage is too low in that circuit and is not holding the relay in the immobiliser open?

also i know they have a electronic fuel cut relay in the kick panel , and was thinking that it should be wired somewhere before this? so that it shuts that on and off? :?:

it just seems like such a simple thing to wire up but just cant get the bastard to work :x

here is the diagram from the unit

if anyone has any experience any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Rick
