need help!!

i have a sr5 hilux 94 model and it wont engadge in 4wd but the dash has the light come on and everything from underneath the car looks ok and working. any ideas?

Have you locked the hubs in?

If you're sure you don't have freewheeling hubs, then in theory you should be in 4wd..... the system in use with yours has a sliding collar that makes it go into 4wd........ what makes you think that you aren't in 4wd.... also I believe that free wheeling hubs CAN be fitted to your vehicle, are you sure you don't have them?

I have been out wheelen with 2 IFS luxys in the past few weeks and both of them had the same problem after a few hours of wheelen. Both of them after a few hours of testing and taking things apart had the same problem. The driver side front cv had worked its way back out of the front hub and with the front diff being a open center it would spin the cv but it was not spinning the wheel because it was not engaged in the hub correctly. Both of them were put back together and one of them is still running fine the second one a week later broke that side CV.
