Big O 4x4 intercooler

Post by forkcy »

Hey Guys

Just wonder if anyone hear has run or is running one of the Big O 4x4 intercoolers
For the gq patrol. I am interested in getting one as I don’t have the time to make up one myself
And they seem to be reasonably priced.

A friend of mine has one on his Gu and it is a good setup but it keeps cracking the mounts for the intercooler from vibration because it bolts to the engine.

thermo fan wasnt to noisy. and temps were good. better than the factory intercooler.

i put a 450x300x100 on mine with a thermo fan and had to make brackets to hold it. it will be interesting to compare temps with my friends big o set up and see if there is much in it.

but for the amount of work i had to do to fit it, i would go for the big o intercooler if i had the money.

Yeah Mate

I was looking at it and thinking that it would probable cost me about $400 to $500 in parts and about a weekend so I may as well just work the OT and pay to get it done.

Thanks

PWR make one using the same tanks as the factory topmount.

Just looking through all of the intercoolers i can find. does anyone have a ASE front mount IC (NOT ARE) what are they like. i gave them a ring today and they sound really good. they said you don’t have to remove the AC you just have to trim the grill.
