Electrician in Wollongong ?

Post by ferog »

I had a customer/friend put my work van together internally which included doing the electrics (he's not an electrician but assured me he could do it easily) I have a 240v setup to run my hyrdrobath, clippers and other stuff via an extension lead to the clients powerpoint.

I've been told by another customer who's a licenced elecrician that the job he did is very unsafe. I'm working with water and electricity all day long so it's a worry.

Is there anyone on here (licenced) who could have a look at it for me, and possibly do some rewiring shortly after? Actually I would say it would definately need to be redone, it's a mess. I'm in Albion Park. Will come to you.

I've learnt my lesson twice now, never again.

Thanks Linc!

I'd rather give my money to a fellow OL member if I can.

If it is suspect, get it fixed straight away. You dont get many second chances with electricity.

Can you go for low voltage equipment?

Can't help from here, but for your safety in the meantime, it would be prudent to make sure that you supply the van from an RCD protected circuit (i.e. it has a "safety switch").
Probably the best way to ensure this is to buy an extension lead with an inline RCD and use that to supply the van.
