what wheels would look better on a white gu patrol ute?

Post by burleygu »

hey guys bit of a quick poll here am going to purchase some 35'' mtz's to suit a 15'' rim as part of this i need to buy new rims at first thought of sticking them back on a set of sunnys although now im thinking of putting them on some alloys spend the money the first time sorta thing. atm i plan on sticking to a 15x8 rim so the 35x12.5's dont look overly huge when im running round on the wkends so atm im thinking like a mickey thompson classic in a 15x8 polished or black or a allied thunder 15x8 in polished or black ive not been able to find any photos of white patrols with polished wheels similar to the 2 mentioned above. so just chasing a few opinions on weather to stick with black wheels or go some polished ones providing they will look ok on a white patrol ' shrugs '

any feedback apreciated even if its ' stuff the alloys just go buy some 15x10 sunnys ' lol

cheers Tim

i would go polished you want a wheel to stand out .
going black alloys in my opinion is a waste of time you may as well go black sunnies and save yourself alot of money .

Black rims sux, impossible to keep them clean.

Polished rim don't look good on white cars, get them in grey/silver.

To be honest i like black sunnies, silver sunnies and even white sunnies on them.

I do prefer the look of my alloys compared to the sunnies ive also run - but alot of people ive heard warn against alloys for offroad stuff due to increased fatigue and ease of damage (read cost of damage as well) compared to a steel rim.

I also would never own another polished rim - prefer machined finish or coated like mine for ease of cleaning.

I don't think any of the utes need 16s, only some wagons. Mine is an 06 ST and I have run 15x8s in the past. I could be wrong though.

4.8 Petrol wagons need 16's.
All others can run 15's.

How about instead of sunny's, type 51 pro comp black steelies. Cheaper and more durable than alloys, and look better than sunnys too.
