D2a - replacement performance intercooler

Post by twr7cx »

I'm looking at bolt in options for replacing the intercooler on my 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE TD5 automatic (with airconditioning). So far the options that I have found are:

PWR - PWR Performance Products - Custom Made Aluminium Radiator, Radiators, Oilcoolers, Intercoolers and Superchargers .
Triump Rover Spares (TRS) - Intercoolers for Defender / Discovery - Upgrades - Triumph Rover Spares South Australia .
Allard Turbo Systems - Allard Turbo Sport - Intercoolers (can't find anything listed on their website, but they're products have been popping up on eBay).
AlliSport - intercooler fabrication specialists (the products page of their website isn't working for me).

Are there any other options that people are aware of for me to consider? I'm waiting to hear back from the companies as to the details on the core sizes and inlet/outlet sizes of their offerings.

Is there any downside to a larger intercooler such as increased turbo lag or loss of low down torque?
