Diesel smart chips
Hi all has anyone used a Diesel Smart chip on there 1HDFTE and if so how does it go? I have done a search but have only found the usual Stienbauer/DP chip/ Rapid chip etc any help will be appreciated.
Re: Diesel smart chips
None of these chips do anything but spill valve control.
The only other chip out there that can do a proper job with tuning is the unichip.
It can control injection timing, spill valve, fuel back down based on boost/water temp/air temp, electronic boost control (if a solenoid is fitted), and many many more things.
Here is a dyno graph of one I fitted two weeks ago, the seperate graphs are the adjustable maps. Just a 3 way rocker switch in the car with Standard, Boost/Timing only tune (Actual economy/efficiency tune), and additional fuel.
Only mods from standard are 3" exhaust, and cleaning the EGR out of the intake system.

You can see how much quicker the boost ramps up with the electronic control.
