what is a good spring setup for my bj40 aparently the shackel pin is smaller in the bj40

Is it true that the pin is smaller and would I be able to just drill it out on the spring hanger to fit the 60 and 75 springsalso is there any thing like different tail shafts because you move your diff backwards. Thanks for the help with that other link it's really helpful

With a smaller pin, you can use 55 series springs, they have the same size eyes, or i think old man emu make bushes that suit small eye/big eye combo.

Yes, you will have to use a custom shaft. It would be cheaper to buy a second hand longer one and get a driveshaft shop to cut it down, rather than just ask them to make you one.

So without going extended tail shafts you can't really get that much flex it's just I don't no if there is a place in gympie that dose that sort of stuff I was sort of hoping there was some springs I could bolt in without changing tail shafts I am only having this issue because the farmer that had it befor me put all different springs in it so it's prity crap one of them is mitsubishi but do you need a different tail shaft for the 55 springs

You can still get decent flex, you just need to play with the packs a bit i.e remove some leaves.

Or you could probably get some custom springs made that are longer from the center bolt to shackle end, but same distance from the fixed end to center bolt.

You will need a new shaft with the 55 springs.

Keep in mind if you go that road you'll probably need a new flexible brake line and move your shock mounts too.
