Not sure they make nurse outfit in my size, but I think Mick has something in the pipe work for our team, but count me in.

The only requirement I have on this is the everone wears their normal closed in shoes, no high heels.

Don't forget all, we still have 2 Teams spots left, as well as teams looking for extra cars for them to run with.
Teams is a heap of fun, so don't shy, get it a go. Looks like it's going to be fancy dress for all teams this year, & I think we will put a penilty on those that don't dress up, just so everone gets into the spirit.

I heard TC already has his French maid outfit Troy? Something about him "finding" it in his sock drawer and have "no idea" how it got there..,,,,

This rain will definately make it interesting! Ecspecially with such a big field! You may have to rename it the Mackay Rainforest Challenge!

We are getting a little tired of the rain now.

If we get a couple of weeks good weather before the comp, it will dry out enough.

From the long range forecast we have been looking at, the week leading up to and during the Easter break is supose to be a lot better weather.

This is bring back memories of the first year. We had 8in on the Friday night, but the comp still run and everyone had a ball. Last year we had a cyclone cross the coast about 15km north of the comp site 2 weeks before, and the comp still ran, and everyone had a ball.

Well rain, hail or shine, at least we know the one certain thing is we are all going to have a ball!

And I'm pretty sure extrauddy stages will keep the crowd entertained that little bit more with everyone having to give it there all straight from the start line!!

How did it look up there on the weekend guys? It's clear blue skies in Blackwater, hopefully it's the same out Cathu and the soil is getting a chance to dry!!

Also will there be any night stages in the main creek where spectators get to sit on the top of the banks and watch and cheer? If so will they be single or team stages?

G'day Guys,

I am chasing some advice on fitting window nets for the comp. I have brought a set of revolution race gear 18" x 24" nets with fit kit. The first drama i am having is the top rode is to long. I plan on cutting some out of the centre and rewelding the two sections together. I am planing on fitting the bottom rod just under the window frame. The top rod i plan to try and fit it to the window frame. Can i use self tapping screws or do i have to use nuts and bolts. A m8 of mine said i wouldn't be allowed to mount it to the window frame and sugested that i mount the top rod to the A and B pillars. I thought i would ask here b4 drilling any holes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hey mate,

you should mount it to the door frame top and bottom! If not your navi will have a bugger of a time trying to get in and out and open the door!

Most just use multiple self tapping screws to hold the window nets in place, but remember when you have it mounted that it needs to be able to be collapsed in 10 seconds??? I think from eithe the inside or out, incase you end upside down in water or something like that happens!

So to recap,
-use decent sized self tapping screws,
-Mount to top of window/door frame and then the bottom of window sill,
- make sure it can be colapsed very quickly from both inside or out whilst the door is closed.

Hey Quinney, If you know an upholstrer get him to sew a couple of velcro strips to the top of the net so you can wrap it around the top window frame and down the bottom you can put press studs for quick removal. minimal holes to drill then.
