spend a little more money on a couple of sets of quality circlip pliers for the ones you commonly use. I had a set of them ^^ and they were crap. I now have three different decent pairs for the clips I use on my cars.

Go for quality separate outer and inner circlip pliers with properly machined tips, both curved and straight. Yes it is 4 sets, but you only buy them once in a lifetime.

get quality, as for circlip pliers look at Knipex, i have some snap on ones and are tops but are pricey!

I am not going to sit here and bag on about how good snap on is (I am a snapon dealer) but as we sell knipex as well I can compare. Nipex is not what they useto be. Ever since they have gone to the multi color handles they are not as good as they once were.

I have traded in plenty of the kingcrome ones and I honestly chuck them in the bin as soon as the customer leaves the truck. They are made with very soft thin cheap steal. They would be ok to get you out of trouble or for a one or two off need. There is a other "OK" set on the market but I have not seen them around for a few years they are made buy a company called Lesly.
Ignore the prices on the snapon website they include shipping and other added on bs.
Noooooooooooo, don't listen to these "experts".... see if you can get even cheaper and crappier than kinchrome, something out of the $2 bin would probably be ideal... they will automatically improve your swear word sentence construction and knuckle barking. If you really select unquality (the opposite of quality, obviously), they should have your eye out by about the 3rd try...
Had a set like the kinchrome ones and snapped all the tips off them using them on the circlip in hubs, Follow the rule with tools, spend bit more and spend once or pay 10 bucks every time you need to use them and end up with 2 flat head screw drivers and lots of cursing.
My cheap multi head ones were no good for taking the circlip off to get tothe wheel bearings on my 80. Need some with flat teeth instead of little bloody points these have.
Much the same mate, The replaceable tips brake at the worst times. They are exactly like the other ones you posted about, they will work but they are not good if your going to be using them a lot.
A few of my customers have those or similar ones and they use the Snap-On (the snapy ones are hardened) replaceable tips and like them. The tip kit costs around $22.
Honestly Circlip pliers are one of those tools you get what you pay for. All of them will work but for how long is what your paying for.
I have a set the same as that kinchrome, they go alright, but a dedicated set such as what Knipex and Sidchrome have are better. Would love Snap On though.

I have limitations on what I can and can not discount. I am a company store manager (meaning I work for the company) not a franchise. But that said I will always give the cheapest price I can to the outers people. But shipping may be the killer for most of you.

agreed! had the kingcrome ones at work. lost them out of my tool bag in about a week and are hard to find in the belly plates of a 2900 bogger! bought a set of knipex last week (approx $50 a pair). feel alot more sturdy!

I'm about to buy some knipex from the US. They are about half price what I can find here (retail price), at about $140US (not including postage) for the 8-pack.
I agree with Evan,knipex are pretty good all my pliers are knipex.
Ive got a set of circlip pliers here for doing hilux outer cv circlips,cant remember what brand or where i got them but they have red handles and are pretty heavy duty.changed countless cvs with them
