TJM winch cradle

Post by fester2au »

Guys has anyone got a pic of the TJM winch cradle for the 80 series. I am going to make one up but I'd like to see how TJM did it. I'm wondering if they did it in such a way to incorporate the adjustment points for the alloy mounts. As I see it if I just make something up it needs to come up from the outside of the chassis rails if it is to pick up several of the mounting bolts but then this could limit any available adjustment in the bar itself. The only way I can see they could keep the adjustment was if they only had it bolted to teh inside of the alloy bar mounts which means it only sandwiches them with that section of the outer mount which means the cradle and thefore winch are only held by the 3 bolts either side that hold the alloy mounts and the 3 bolts to the side of the chassis rails which are the smaller of all the mounting bolts.
