You just worry about keeping the shorty running for the 3 remaining rounds of WTC shieldsy! I wouldn't be suprised if even the 8 day Is no longer held in rocky like it had been scheduled to be...

No not really, when I tried to run at Rocky last year I only had 2 interested parties as entrants from up there.

I have asked a few of the local competitors if support would be better this year and still have not heard back from them.

So I must go where my competitor base is: SE Corner & NSW.

I love Rocky, I will only be too happy to bring the XWC there if I can get 20 entrants, that is a number that will work and the spectators will leave happy.

So if I hear from locals that want to compete, I will put an XWC on there later in the year. It is now up to the locals if they want another competition in that area.

Classes would be the same as the ARB XWC.

Cheers

Support is everything Mosko. No support no event.

The XI was great in Rocky when I had it there. But trying to run an event with a very small entry fee was very hard on the finances.

With the way that everything has been going with business over the last 2/3 years it is very hard trying to put on a big event.

Plans are that the XI will happen next year 2012 (but need support of business and competitors). Venue is still to be approved. More on this later.

As I have said you guys are being very well looked after by WTC, but if you want another event in Rocky the local support must be there.

No worries mate, I don't think last year was the best time, with seasoned competitors having their rigs off the road and the new guys struggling to get there's ready and fix up breakages after local comps, with everyone irioning out the bugs I think we will soon see many competitive new teams heading out further afield and giving different comps a go!

And if you are getting the numbers and spectators you want from that area then why not keep on racing ther I guess, and cq racers will just have to load up and head on down

Weather is looking good for this Round. I hope. I can put up with the cold and the wet in summer, but it will be real fun if it is cold & wet.

Xtreme 4x4 Sport is adding 2 x $200 travel vouches & a $500 Exedy Clutch voucher to the prize pool. These will be open to both Officials & Competitors.
This will be drawn at Presentation on Sunday.

Cheers
David

Piglet if you want I could drop by the shop and pick them up for you and drop them off to MMM (Miss Muffet Metcalfe ). Oh by the way MMM can you put a few seats away for me at the meal also please. I will be there later on Friday afternoon this time as work stops me getting there early this time. Also I noticed a misprint in the menu.... Chicko rolls should be on the Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menu.

Gidday Dave. Sounds really good and we are trying to get there. Tell me something, please tell me that you have some long sections not just in a gully, out a gully, around the tree, back down the gully. Just some good old fashioned sprints with 1 or 2 winch challenges in a stage, like it was 5 years ago, when we had lots and lots of 4WD competitors, not just a few 4WD's and now some Polaris's - which I think by the way are great! :smilecolros:
Just as a thought, can you please make sure that there is lots of firewood available - that would be really appreciated by all. Kind regards, Supercharged.
