Alright i am scratching my head on this one, but what is the best way to do this.
I have had this idea - might sound dumb this is where you help, i want to on the top bearing retainer cap, weld around the milled section making it a rectangle the same size as a hilux steering arm, then mill this flat again and redrill it as a 4 bolt hilux / lc pattern to accept commonly avaiable hilux hysteer / cross over arms.
Will it work
Is it dangerous
Do i need to lay off the weed a bit
Here is some pics of what i am takin about

before any one asks i will try fitting a hilux arm in place of the standard retainer tommorow night, the bottom arms interchange so i would hope the top uses the same bearing and has the same depth as a hilux too

bubs i have been putting some thought into this over the last week or so, i know where i can get some 80s diffs with airlockers cheap so have been thinking about fitting them to my truck.
I came stuck at the same point. mark and i talked about swapping and rolling the left knuckle to the right and viseversa. this would keep the calipers in the same spot, allow the hubs to bolt up but how do you think it would effect the steering rotation, or ackerman?

going to machine a hysteer arm with a single hole and add a 3rd stud like the US arms, still going to run the tie rod behind the axle and upgrade to a 35mm 4140 tie rod similar to my old one
drawing it up tomorow - should get it machined within about 4-5 weeks after easter
