96 xj won't start

Hi all, took my xj out on sat and got it real muddy, decided i'd give a wash on sunday and gave my engine bay a clean out. Now it won't start a buddy and i have gone over this thing checking for any moisture still around, it seems that it's not firing has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it

Yep we had the same issue and it ended up being a faulty ignition coil lead to the distributor. Even if it looks ok it may be stuffed inside. We ended up changing everything, leads, dizzy, rotor and all is fine.
