Mav did you have 4.88 or 5.29s in yours?CanberraMav wrote:Rob has a 3 speed auto with 6:5 transfer and 4.88 cruiser diffs.
Mine is 5 speed 6.5s and factory 4.11 but I will be putting nittro diff gears in but I am tossed between 5.29s or 4.88s. Its just one of those things I don't want to buy twice. Even with running 40s I think the 5.29s will be to low. Any input guys.
I will be locked front and rear, longfields in the front and in time it will have rear steer. 40 or 42 iroks

I imagine this has been discussed in the Toyota section more then once if you bothered to searchV.W.Dave wrote:Mav did you have 4.88 or 5.29s in yours?CanberraMav wrote:Rob has a 3 speed auto with 6:5 transfer and 4.88 cruiser diffs.

Re: coil axel vs WT axels
If I had a Toyota I would go to the toyota section. How many toyotas run suzi engines??? The people I am asking are rob and Mav they both have or have had SUZUKI's with 60 diffs with sierra transfers and vitara engines. The exact set up as mine.VR Rodeo wrote:I imagine this has been discussed in the Toyota section more then once if you bothered to searchV.W.Dave wrote:Mav did you have 4.88 or 5.29s in yours?CanberraMav wrote:Rob has a 3 speed auto with 6:5 transfer and 4.88 cruiser diffs.

And I trust what they say unlike most so keep your to your self bye bye now .
Re: coil axel vs WT axels
I would personally use the 5.29's if you were running the 40's. Of coarse they are weaker though. This is for a mostly rock crawling scenario.
I have dual transfers at the moment and could easily run 40's with the 4.88 diff gears. I mgoing back to single transfer.
Im not sure i would go up to 40's in mine and im pretty sure Rob is of the same opinion.
It counts you out of some competitions and also cost you time/points in others.

Thanks mate! What twin set up do you have? Vitara/sierra? I will be keeping your old tyres around for the comps like willowglen that have the 37" max rules. The 40s will be for fun, other events and wank factor. Did you run longfields in your old girl?
