G`day,
A v6 t700 wont fit straight up to a turbo pattern engine, but CRS do an adaptor kit for about $800.
I went to fit up a T700 up to my 40 ,fitted with a 308,adapted to a hilux transfer and the rear axle moved back about 8'' and the tail shaft would have been about 500mm long,so we built a T400 instead because they are about 150mm shorter, and I`m still recon the shaft is to short, but its working

cheers

that short shaft is a big problem for you hey scott... and your truck also has a short shaft mate. :finger:

measure up your existing setup then measure a t700 and check with marks on the adaptor size.
a Th400 made my truck go from a 40 to a custom ute due to the length.

but people do make it fit.

Mate i used to have a V6 T700 in my shorty. I have since put in a V8 version. The torque convertor is way too small to handle the torque of the V8. I completely stuffed the convertor in mine. So I now have a strengthened stallie in my shorty.
it's never a problem until it can't be fixed, even then it' only a minor set back
