Edelbrock shocks

chasing info on edelbrock shocks, looking at the extreme IAS http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new ... reme.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, did a search but couldnt find alot of info either way. They will be going on a 5 inch lifted 80 series, was wondering if they would handle the weight ok and any experience good or bad

You could try giving the boys at ABT a call. They're the only ones i've seen who sell the edelbrock shocks.

I have used them on a GQ.

I'd suggest you look elsewhere. The valving was average.

Very firm on road and offroad they were firm unless you drove with pace and fury. The downside of this was as the shock released on those larger/faster axle movements the body was uncontrolled and you could pitch around/wallow. On the plus side the patrol was uber capable for a shitter wagon patrol - the wheels were literally always on the ground unless you hit end of travel of course.

I think if you want to spend some money on shocks which deserve the money to be spent on the (so not tough dogs or rancho LOL) then you should get in touch with suspension stuff and look into his Bilstein shocks.
